A few weeks ago our quartet played for Kina and Jonathan’s wedding in a Chicago suburb. The couple had many friends and family members in attendance, and despite the large number of guests it seemed like every person there had a close, personal connection to the couple. One can tell they invest a lot of time and energy in others. Jonathan even chose to take time out of his busy afternoon to make sure we were clear with all the details.
The pieces Kina and Jonathan chose for their ceremony were:
*Processional– Piano Sonata in A Major, K. 331, Andante Grazioso by Mozart
*Bridal Processional– Bridal Chorus by Wagner
*Recessional– Wedding March by Mendelssohn
In addition to the quartet music we played, Kina and Jonathan also had three songs with piano. I think many people were surprised when the bride and groom themselves picked up two microphones and sang “Household of Faith” (by Steve Green) together during their ceremony. It was a brave thing to do that day, and a moving gesture to top off a beautiful wedding!
Congratulations Kina and Jonathan!
